How credible is the Valley Voice on Goleta issues?

Why does the Valley Voice always paint such a rosy picture of Goleta City Council?
Is this due to the fact that the wife of the Valley Voice editor is a major contributor to the Goleta general plan?

Did you know the Valley Voice refused to print this response article "There's a second story to second-story issue" to Mayor Brock's article "The whole (2nd) story" published in the Valley Voice Sep 3 - Sep 9 2004.

Are you aware of this? When City Council Candidate Roy Zbinden's bio was printed in the Valley Voice (VV) issue of Aug 27 - Sept 2, a significant number of Goleta residents did not receive their copy of the VV. Apparently when questioned about this the VV responded they 'had a new delivery person that did not get papers to certain parts of the city'.

In the VV edition distributed on Oct 15, 2004 there was an editorial labeled "Jean and Jonny Winning Combination". Why did the VV print this when Jean clearly indicates she supports Roy Zbinden, not Jonny Wallis?
