Why does Wallis take credit for the work of others?
At the candidate face-off on Oct 19, 2004 when answering a question on housing, Wallis took credit for a large number of new housing projects in the city. Some of the projects took credit for were approved by the County before city hood. A member of the audience questioned Wallis after the meeting asking, "Why did you take credit for projects that were approved by the County?" Wallis responded, "We did not oppose them".
Interesting. It would appear Wallis's idea of project approval is 'If I don't oppose you, I get credit'. This also seems be a theme for the city; 'Don't deny them, keep em coming in (City continues to collect fees to pay staff), and when the applicant goes broke, the City can take credit for not opposing them'. Listen carefully - can you hear the stampede of lawsuits?
If you have the opportunity to watch the video of this meeting, note that when answering most of the 'random' questions, Wallis is reading scripted answers. The evidence is overwhelming that Wallis had 'question planters' in the audience.
